A combined cycle power plant is a power plant consists of several gas turbine generator sets and steam turbine to produce electricity at the highest efficiency.
The exhaust gas of the gas turbine is passed through a heat recovery steam generator to produce high pressure steam. The steam will drive the steam turbine to generate additional electricity.
